Fitness is a journey that has changed my life. In 2011 I was recently divorced, unsure what to do with myself, overweight and making unhealthy decisions. I found a new community in the obstacle course racing world and a passion for fitness. I gained self confidence and learned how to make healthy choices. My goal is to help others learn how to bring health and fitness into their daily lives. I believe that people want to make good choices but its hard to start down the path on their own. I can help people on that journey because I have been there and I know how hard it is but I also know how rewarding it is.

I was your average active person growing up, I even played childhood organized sports up through high school. Once I entered the workforce I focused less on my health and more on work. At age 28 I found myself working as a mechanic (a job I did not enjoy), 280 lbs, and having a lot of health issues (high blood pressure, pre-diabetic, and extreme exhaustion all the time). A trip to my doctor was an eye opener, to have him say "do something about your Health or you may not be around much longer". I remembered how much I liked working out in high school and joined a gym. My passion for Fitness was born, I lost over 100 lbs in one year and decided I wanted to help others. At age 30 I got my Personal Trainer certificate and easily became the top trainer in my gym do to my passion for fitness and explosive outgoing personality. I'm excited to be part of FWL and bring all my experience with me to help motivate others to achieve their goals and passions.
